Community CONVERSATIONS

We need to work together to create a great community. Which is why my campaign is focused on talking to residents.

I’m not shy about sharing my ideas. Here you can see what I think the next Council should focus on. Here you can see my take on every major decision that has come before Council since I got elected. But I did not come up with these ideas on my own. They were all shaped by my talks with residents.

One of my primary values: Council needs to be responsive to the community. As I decide what I think our next Council should pay attention to, I’m focusing on hearing from residents. I want to learn from their ideas and experiences. And I want residents to hear from one another too.

That’s why I love Community Conversations. These are events I hosted 3-4 times per year throughout my time on Council. They have also been a big part of my campaign. Each Community Conversations lasts about an hour. I spend 5-10 minutes giving an update about my work. Then I open the floor to questions, comments, or ideas from residents.

Of course, you don’t need to come to a Community Conversation to talk to me. I’m always excited to have an individual conversation over a cup of coffee, on the phone, or through Zoom. To set one up, you can email me at dylan@bressey.ca or call me at 780-402-4166.
