2000 Doors!

Today I met one of my campaign goals: to knock on 2000 doors. With three weeks left, I look forward to knocking on hundreds more...

Some of the best lessons and insights I have received happened on a front step. I've had conversations that have made me laugh. I've had other conversations that have left me sad. I've had times when I have been made red in the face. I've also gathered some great stories. I didn't want to keep these experiences to myself. Age and Experience

Until October 16th, I will be taking some time every Monday to tell you a bit about myself. I’ll be sharing something that has both prepared me for Council and that which makes me different than other candidates. A good Council is one with diversity. I want to let you know about the unique perspectives I bring to the table.Today I will discuss my age and experience.

I am 32 years old--just shy of Grande Prairie’s median age. At the same time, I have a depth of experience that has prepared me well to serve on Council.

Council's Work and a Pen

Just last week, I was door knocking. A senior gentleman took me for a tour of his wood shop. He knows he only has a few years left in his house with a work space. He dreads losing his hobby as has happened to so many of his friends. This senior’s big desire is to donate his tools to a shop available for public use. But he told me he was getting nowhere sharing his vision.
